Yumiko is a law clerk. She assists with document discovery, depositions, legal research and trials.

Yumiko earned a law degree from Monash University in Australia. Prior to that, she worked for seven years as a financial analyst at Nomura Asset Management USA and at Karya Capital Management. Her volunteer work includes work at the Japan Society in New York, and she has taught English in Tokyo. She is a John C. Whitehead Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association.

Yumiko is not admitted to the bar within the United States.
